Hello! You are super duper wonderful and I am so excited that you are making me a thing! It's gonna be so great no matter what you do and I can't wait to hear it!! (Seriously ITPE is my favorite holiday) Below is lotsa information but don't let it overwhelm you! These are just many different things I like, I will love whatever you make me, promise!
I'm having a bit of a drifter year and am not particularly in any fandom but floating between older ones. So here's what I think I'd like:
Harry Potter:
- so I'm back here?? honestly wasn't expecting this and it's a bit hard to describe my tastes of the moment
- I'm more likely to enjoy Marauder era things, canon era is most interesting to me if it is a fix it, not interested in things focused on next-gen or Cursed Child
- Time travel! this is my jam in this fandom, time travel within an era, between eras, all the yes!
- Darkfic is a no go right now, much more interested in fix it or just general focus on the relationships (not just romantic) between characters, it doesn't need to be fluffy and angst is okay but on the whole it should trend towards being happier/more hopeful
- My feelings on Snape are very "cool motive, still murder" so fics focused on him or him in a positive light should be avoided. I'm good with views on Dumbledore ranging from well-meaning but made a lot of mistakes to he is incredibly manipulative and fuck him
- I'm all about characters dealing with/healing from their trauma, so Sirius dealing with post-Azkaban issues, anybody dealing with war PTSD, Harry dealing with effects of Dursley abuse etc
- Werewolves!!!! God I love me some werewolf angst, things like Remus being stressed about people finding out he's a werewolf and pulling away, him having self-doubt/self-hate for being a werewolf, also other characters being turned into werewolves!
- as far as AUs go, generally interested in things that are not mundane AUs, so generally keeping with magic but also could go for things like superpowers, they have daemons, etc, but not like coffee shop AU or muggle aus
- I am very multishipper in this fandom, especially enjoying Remus/Sirius right now, but stay away from Harry/Draco (it is so very hit and miss for me that I have no idea how to articulate what would work for me, if it is in my bookmarks it is fine)
- My tastes in this fandom trend towards the long, plotty and frequently unfinished, please don't feel pressured towards that! (and for the record if you feel comfortable/can get permission to record an unfinished fic that is cool with me)
- Apparently I've never requested this fandom despite drifting in and out of it a couple of times, so here we go
- but what if Team 7 wasn't a tragedy? basically things that involve Team 7 bonding properly, Kakashi figuring out how to be an actual teacher, and them being competent little badasses
- Found family feels!
- have y'all heard I like time travel fix its? because surprise, that is exactly what I love in this fandom
- basically anything where someone considers getting any of these goddamn ninja therapy would warm my heart
- anything with Sakura being a badass
- Kakashi/Obito, Naruto/Sasuke/Sakura, Naruto/Sasuke, gen are all good, no female character bashing
- No intergenerational ships unless it is because of time travel (adult Naruto has traveled back to his childhood and is now shipped with Kakashi? a-ok but canon era Kakashi/Naruto is a no)
- I have no interest in the warring states period or the characters from that era being the focus of the fic, even if there is time travel involved
- Mostly interested in canon setting things, canon divergence/universe alterations are great, modern day aus not so much
- focuses on or features heavily the clones, especially things that get at clone culture and the consequences of the Jedi creating a slave army
- Fix-it fic, TIME TRAVEL FIX-IT FIC
- Ahsoka! just anything Ahsoka she is wonderful
- Fic that deals with the impacts of Anakin growing up in slavery
- Padme/Anakin/Obi-wan, just Padme/Anakin, or Anakin/Obi-wan, and gen is always good for the soul as well
- I'm also into clone pairings! Obi-wan/Cody and/or Rex, clones with each other!
- I also really enjoy fics where Obi-wan is ace or ace-spectrum
- The main thing I am not into is Qui-gon/Obi-wan, past unrequited feelings are ok but I'm just not that much of a fan of Qui-Gon in general
- General Leia is the best!!!!!
- anything dealing with stormtrooper rebellion/defection as a result of Finn (fine if canon characters are not the focus here)
- Finn dealing with the trauma of surviving growing up in stormtrooper system
- Droids!!!! Droids are wonderful and I love things that contain/focus on BB-8, especially, but also R2D2 and K2-SO. I love things that look at sentience and what it means to be a droid/sentient (any and all Star Wars canons for this)
- No reylo or kylux. Any combination of Finn, Poe, Rey and Rose is good, esp poly, mostly looking for things that include stuff from above bullet points, otherwise team/found family feels
DCU (aka the batfam):
- I have like ten metric tons of feelings about Jason Todd, so fics focusing on him are always 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
- Jason and protecting/taking care of street kids kills me in the best way
- I love Jason and his Very Firm ideas on proper consent
- fics with Jason dealing with his trauma/PTSD are wonderful!
- I am also having increasing feelings about Tim Drake, so things focusing on him are great as well
- Pairings: Mostly into Jay/Tim and Steph/Cass
- Jay/Dick is very hit or miss for me but if it's on my ao3 bookmarks go for it!
The Martian: Mark Watney being snarky, SCIENCE PROBLEM SOLVING, teamfic, hurt/comfort or recovery fic from either the journey back or on Earth. I'm mostly into gen here, but pairings are fine except Mark/Beck
Ant-man: mostly gen things, background pairings are fine, things focusing on Cassie or containing Luis, just general family feels. I am very much about the extreme poly-vibes I got out of Ant-man and the Wasp, so various poly combinations of Scott, Hope, Paxton, Maggie, Luis, and Ava are great but focus should be family feels rather than specific relationships.

- AUs are my jam, both totally alternate universes and canon divergence/universe alternations
- Crossovers (so long as one of the fandoms above is involved and I don't need too much outside canon knowledge we're good! Fusions that focus on characters from above canons are also good)

- kid fic (both character is turned into kid and characters adopting kids)
- soul bonding
- FOUND FAMILY
- mutual pining
- teamfic!
- Dragons! the addition of any and all dragons are great
- magical realism in general
- superpowers!
- gender changes/gender bends
- Hurt/comfort
- insecure/low self-worth characters being reassured/validated by other characters
- characters dealing with trauma ie PTSD or past abuse (slave aus are good as long as the endgame is characters healing and regaining agency)
- time travel
- outsider POV
- poly relationships
- Stories about asexual and ace spectrum characters make my heart sing <33
- I love music/sound effects in podfic, if that's not your thing no worries but if it is feel free to go for it!
DNW:
- PWPs, I don’t mind explicit parts in fic but sexy times are not the most interesting thing to me, but as long as there is lots of plotty/feelsy goodness around the porn, we’re good.
